Summary

Job Summary – The Commercial Marketing team at the University are looking for a graduate to step into this varied and creative role and support the promotion of the services offered by the Commercial, Residential and Campus Services (CRC) teams at the University of Exeter. In addition to supporting these three areas, there will also be a requirement to undertake work for other areas within CRC, including the Estate Patrol and Facilities Operations teams. You will do this through the delivery of innovative and creative marketing campaigns, designed to provide opportunities for the teams within CRC to generate income and enhance the student experience. This role is part of the Graduate Business Partnership (GBP) scheme and offers a full-time contract (36.5 hours per week) until July 2027. You will be based in Hope Hall on Streatham Campus in Exeter with the option for some remote working. For more information on the GBP scheme, please visit www.exeter.ac.uk/internships.

About You – You should be a graduate who is able to write quality content, has video creation and editing skills, a good eye for photography for use on social media, great IT skills including Excel and PowerPoint, and has excellent attention to detail. You should have strong data gathering and analysis skills, planning skills including creating project or content calendars, the ability to manage a variety of projects at the same time, and the ability to organise and prioritise own workload. You should have an interest in pursuing a marketing career, be action-oriented and creative nature, with the ability to manage several activities simultaneously, and be tech savvy ideally with ideas to bring to the team. You should be upbeat, friendly and generally enjoy working with people, be confident and happy to work proactively with a range of people, often acting on own initiative, and be able and willing to be flexible and adaptable to change, even with little notice. You should have a natural curiosity in and excellent knowledge of social media platforms, especially TikTok and Instagram, have an understanding of best practice and trends in social media, and a basic understanding/willingness to self-train on how to extract and use statistics from social media, to improve performance. You should have experience of using social media, ideally but not essentially for a business, group or organisation, an experience of video creation and editing, experience with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and basic video editing would be an advantage but is not essential.
