Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

Immaculate Heart Catholic Primary School a Voluntary Academy of St Gregory the Great Multi-Academy Trust is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistant to support pupils within our setting who require SEND support. Your role will be to support pupils to ensure that they access the curriculum and reach their full potential. This is a varied role that will require flexibility and a positive attitude. This is a full-time, term time only role.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed Learning Support Assistant to make a difference to a pupil’s experience of education. The successful Learning Support Assistant will be required to work with pupils in our setting with SEND needs on a one to one level.

To be considered for the SEND Learning Support Assistant position, you will have:

• An understanding or sympathetic view towards the Catholic ethos of the school
• A passion for teaching and learning and enabling all children to achieve success
• The ability to foster excellent professional relationships with children, parents and staff.
• Experience within a mainstream primary school or specialist provision unit
• Experience of working with SEND pupils on a one to one basis.
• A desire to become part of a committed and supportive school team
• The ability to set high expectations to support the pupil to reach their full potential

The ability to use your own initiative and act accordingly
