Summary
Join our Team as a part-time Teaching Assistant at Two Mile Hill Primary School! Start Date: 01/09/2025Salary: Grade 10, £25,992 - £27,269 FTE p.a. (Actual Salary based on weeks worked and hours: £20,392.86 - £21,394.77)Contract: Fixed Term until 31/08/2026, Linked to Time-Limited External FundingHours: 33.75 hours per week (8:30am –3:45pm Monday to Friday with a 30 minutes unpaid lunchbreak) term time only to include INSET days (39 weeks)Application Closing Date: 11/07/2025
Interview date: 17/07/2025The Role:The role is to work with SEN pupils with EHCPs arriving at our school in September 2025
Support a range of children with high levels of special educational needs including autism and SEMH needs.
Group Support: Assist small groups of children, encouraging their social, emotional and academic development.
Collaboration with teachers: Work closely with the classroom teachers to plan and deliver tailored activities that meet the unique needs of our children.
Nurturing Environment: support children in developing of their communication, social skills and emotional regulation.
The ideal candidate will:
• Be enthusiastic, patient and committed to making a positive impact on the lives of young learners
• Have a flexible, proactive approach to supporting both individual and group learning needs
• Be eager to work with preverbal, autistic children, understanding their specific developmental and communication challenges.
• Be a team player who is passionate about working in a supportive and collaborative school environment.
• Be confident in managing challenging behaviours and supporting children’s emotional regulation
• Positive handling / Team Teach training would be an advantage as the role may require you to use these skills.
