Summary
The following are key responsibilities for the HSEP Manager are:
Lead, manage and develop the Station’s HSE policies, ensuring compliance with MOD, Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO), and statutory legislation. And to interpret all new HS&EP legislation for application and implementation at RNAS Culdrose.
Provide expert HSE advice and guidance to senior leadership, department heads, and stakeholders.
To ensure that MOD and RN policy on HS&EP matters is implemented and maintained.
Plan, coordinate and conduct safety and environmental audits, inspections, and incident investigations, ensuring effective follow-up and reporting.
Oversee environmental management plans, ensuring sustainable operations and compliance with environmental regulations.
Drive continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental performance across all station operations.
To investigate accidents, incidents, dangerous occurrences, pollution incidents and cases of work-related ill health. To advise Ship’s Investigations on HS&EP issues. To assist with implementation of the Air Safety Information Management System in conjunction with the Air Safety Team
To liaise with other specialist officers to produce and review the SEMP, related Action Plans and integrated Site Risk Assessments.
To enable effective consultation to take place via the SHEF committee and related working groups.
Represent RNAS Culdrose at regional and national HSE forums within the MOD and partner organisations.
To participate in the Maritime Aviation Assurance Cycle (MAAC) on behalf of Cdr A&T to provide the Delivery Duty Holder (DDH) with assurance that Squadrons, Flights and Units based at RNAS Culdrose are fit for purpose and are ready to execute their duties safely and to the correct standards.
