Summary

This hybrid role offers a great balance of home and office working. You’ll join your colleagues in our London Office at least 2 days a week.

As the UK’s largest fibre-only network, and its only proven wholesale challenger, we’re busy setting new standards for what digital infrastructure can and should be.

Designed from scratch for the internet, our network is greener, more reliable and ready for the future. The products we provide over it not only lead the market on speed, value and service, they help businesses to innovate, provide entire communities with a better foundation for their digital lives and support economic growth, locally and nationally.

What does that mean for you? The opportunity to make internet connections (and daily life) a whole lot better, for a lot of people!

Joining us as a Finance Business Partner

The Finance Business Partner will lead financial analysis and business partnering for our BDUK leadership team, focusing on evaluating contract performance and supporting bid updates. This role involves financial modelling, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement of reporting processes. The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant with strong commercial finance experience and excellent communication skills.

You’ll receive a competitive salary, a performance related bonus, and a range of benefits to support you across your financial, physical and mental wellbeing.

This is some of what you can expect to be doing:

Collaborate closely with the BDUK leadership team to evaluate contract performance, ensuring expectations are met and communicating outcomes clearly and confidently

Take the lead on financial modelling for bid updates, delivering accurate and insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making

Foster and maintain strong, positive relationships with internal stakeholders, building trust and encouraging open, effective collaboration

Enhance internal reporting processes by leveraging tools such as data warehouses and Salesforce, driving improvements in efficiency and clarity

Lead finance-related projects from start to finish, coordinating team resources thoughtfully to ensure successful and timely delivery

What you’ll bring to the role

You will have sharp financial insight, clear communication, and remain calm under pressure—balancing strategic thinking with hands-on modelling to support smart, data-driven decisions. You’ll also:

Use your financial expertise to offer valuable insights that inform decision-making and help drive meaningful change across the organisation

Communicate relevant information clearly and confidently, making complex data easy to understand and act upon

Build strong, reliable models in Excel that reflect real-world scenarios and support practical, data-driven planning

Thoughtfully balance long-term strategic goals with short-term priorities, ensuring both are addressed with care and focus

Manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines with calm efficiency, maintaining high standards and a positive approach under pressure
