A bit about me:
I am an 85-year-old lady living with dementia. I enjoy watching sports and documentaries. I like staying in touch with my family and hearing about my grandchildren’s adventures. Being able to live in my home is very important to me, but I acknowledge that I need support to promote my independence.

About the role:
I am looking to employ PA’s who can provide me with 24 hr live-in care ideally working a rota of 1 week on and 1 week off (but agreeable for discussion). I need support with personal care, including continence care. I also need support maintaining a healthy and varied diet and taking my medications. My mobility is limited but I can manage if you prompt me to use my mobility aids.

The kind of person I am looking for:
The right applicant will have experience looking after people with dementia in their homes. They will be confident with moving and handling techniques. They will be happy communicating with my family and escalating any concerns appropriately. They will have a compassionate and person-centred approach to the way they work. I need support with personal care therefore the applicant must be Female. For this reason it is exempt under the general occupation requirement section of the Equality Act 2010.
