Do you want to make a real difference by supporting someone with a learning disability in their job?
Forever Savvy is looking for a Grounds & Maintenance Worker to join our Horse Savvy project in Broughton Astley for 15 hours per week, working as an Access to Work (ATW) support staff member.
About the Role
In this role, you will carry out general grounds and maintenance work alongside an adult with a learning disability, supporting them to complete tasks safely and effectively as part of their job.
Your main duties will include:
• Groundskeeping: mowing, strimming, weeding, and general upkeep of the site
• Basic site maintenance: clearing paths, maintaining fences, and other light repairs
• Providing clear guidance, encouragement, and support to help your colleague succeed
• Ensuring all tasks are completed to a safe standard and at a pace that supports learning
• Being a positive, respectful presence while working 1:1
This role is funded through Access to Work, and you’ll be helping to remove barriers to employment for a person with a learning disability while contributing to the care and upkeep of our much-loved outdoor equestrian setting.
Who We’re Looking For
• Someone confident in general outdoor maintenance tasks
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Friendly, patient, and able to give clear, practical instructions
• Respectful and inclusive in their approach to working with others
• Able to work as part of a small team but take initiative when needed

• Hours: 15 hours per week
• Rate of Pay: £12.21 per hour
• Location: Horse Savvy, Broughton Astley
