Summary

SEN Teaching Assistant - Year 4 ADHD Support
Location: Hammersmith & Fulham, W12 (commutable from Ealing, Acton, Shepherd's Bush, Kensington, Chiswick, and Hounslow)
Day Rate: £95-£100 per day
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Start Date: September 2025

Are you passionate about supporting children with ADHD and helping them thrive in the classroom? Long Term Futures is recruiting on behalf of a friendly primary school in Hammersmith & Fulham seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 pupil with ADHD and additional behavioural needs.

The Role

This pupil requires a firm but fair approach to manage impulsive behaviours, anxieties, and maintain focus in lessons. Your role will involve delivering one-on-one support to enable the pupil to access the curriculum confidently while promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation. You will work closely with the class teacher to adapt activities and contribute to lesson planning to suit the pupil's needs.

Key duties include:
- Providing consistent support to help manage impulsive and anxious behaviours
- Encouraging concentration and engagement through tailored learning strategies
- Collaborating with teachers and SENCO to implement behaviour management techniques
- Assisting with progress monitoring and contributing to individual learning plans
- Supporting transitions and social interactions within the classroom environment

What We're Looking For
- Experience supporting children with ADHD or similar behavioural needs
- Strong behaviour management skills with a calm, patient approach
- Ability to adapt lesson resources and contribute to planning
- Commitment to progress monitoring and working as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude
