Summary
As Technical Security Advisor, you’ll be responsible for providing security expertise on delivery of the technical security effects for our programme and prime contractors, to assure that policy is being met and advise on how to meet policy change or bring projects up to the required technical standard. You’ll engage with the Project Teams, to assure the designs are appropriate for the security requirements.
The Programme that you will be supporting is at the core of delivering defence capabilities. It delivers the assurance to the Senior Responsible Owner (SRO) in the effective delivery of the Programme benefits. The team provides the operational focus for the capability that you will be delivering.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities include the provision of technical security assurance at various locations, tracking independent security audit recommendations and providing advice on solutions to mitigate these findings, through:
Acting as the primary point of contact on security issues with key stakeholders, including external parties, and actively develop strong working relationships in relation to security.
Supporting prime contractors in delivering the correct security effect to protect the MOD information and assets they are delivering/holding.
Supporting the independent audit teams with site specific expertise, ensuring they are afforded access to all they need, to assure all aspects of technical security.
Providing technical security assurance and advice to the wider Programme, to assure security is considered at the earliest design stages of all the projects.
Cyber/technical security policy advice to Security Advisor and project teams, regarding cyber/technical security requirements.
Oversight of all cyber and technical aspects of all projects, informing the Security Advisor and team of cyber related risks/issues/threat.
