Summary

We’re looking for a sharp, strategic, and curious Senior Digital and Social Media Insights Manager to lead our digital insights and evaluation function — helping us understand what’s working, what’s not, and where we go next across digital and social platforms.

This is a pivotal role at the heart of our digital communications team. You’ll turn data into insight, and insight into action — shaping how we engage audiences, optimise campaigns, and respond to the fast-moving digital landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and delivery of insight and evaluation strategies that span the departments’ social media channels — focusing on both organic and paid content.
  • Translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives that inform decision-making at all levels.
  • Work closely with marketing teams, content specialists, press colleagues and strategy teams to embed insight into planning and delivery.
  • Monitor performance in real time, spotting trends, surfacing risks, and identifying opportunities to build dynamic social media content.
  • Build dashboards and reports to present actionable evaluation insights.
  • Provide rapid insights in response to the news agenda and social media trends, ensuring our content remains relevant and timely to all audience groups.
  • Introduce insight and evaluation tools that make data accessible and actionable for non-technical or analytical colleagues.
  • Champion a culture of test-and-learn, helping teams’ experiment, iterate, and improve.
  • Stay ahead of platform changes, audience behaviours, and emerging tools, and advise on what they mean for digital communications in the department.
