Location: Starcross, EX6 8PE

This role is key to ensuring the safe, compliant, and high-quality delivery of facility services under a prestigious client contract.

Job Description
Reporting to the Regional Facilities Manager, you will oversee a regional patch, managing both in-house staff (Placemakers) and external contractors to ensure services are delivered efficiently and to a consistently high standard.
You'll work collaboratively with the wider team to maintain a seamless and engaging workplace experience for our customers, with a strong focus on operational excellence and safety compliance.
The contract itself is well-run, and you’ll be encouraged to take ownership, develop your leadership style, and work closely with a variety of stakeholders to drive standards and improve the day-to-day working environment across your region.
Key Responsibilities
Support the contract management team in developing service solutions and identifying improvement opportunities
Oversee rostering and ensure full site coverage, managing sickness and planned absences
Maintain compliance with Health & Safety legislation and ensure accurate documentation (e.g. audits, COSHH, SOPs)
Recruit, train and manage Placemakers, ensuring effective performance, appraisals, and succession planning
Handle customer complaints in line with formal procedures and ensure the timely completion of reports and admin tasks
Control costs across materials, labour and agency usage while identifying revenue and margin improvement opportunities
Support contract mobilisations and ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and industry standards
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Proven experience managing teams, ideally across multiple commercial buildings
Background in Facilities Management or a similar operational environment
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Confident handling a range of administrative tasks accurately and efficiently
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-site setting with shifting priorities
Knowledge of IOSH/COSHH is beneficial, though not essential
Practical, hands-on leadership approach with a focus on service delivery
