We’re looking for a Health & Safety Officer to help us uphold and improve safety across over 150 services in the UK. Working closely with operational teams and business support functions, you’ll guide policy, ensure compliance, and support the safety of both staff and the people we support.

What You’ll Do:

✔ Work closely with our Head of Estates to roll out our Health & Safety Strategy
✔ Advise and support service managers and operational leaders on compliance and best practice
✔ Lead and coordinate safety initiatives including DSE systems, fire safety, and environmental standards
✔ Help ensure safe working environments and care plans for people with mobility needs
✔ Support internal inspections, audits, and action planning
✔ Contribute to ISO 14001 Environmental Standards and CHAS accreditation
✔ Oversee policy updates, staff training input, and reporting to SLT and the board
✔ Keep policies up to date and ensure legal compliance across our UK-wide footprint

Qualifications and Experience

✔ Experienced professional with recent hands on experience in a similar role
✔ NEBOSH qualification (General Certificate) or equivalent
✔ Evidence of provision of H&S advice to a competent person level
✔ Experience of designing and revising H&S policies and procedures
✔ Up to date knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
✔ Recent experience of working in a social care organisation
✔ Knowledge of H&S legislation applicable to social care
✔ Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
