Work with York Limited are working with our York based public sector client, on a brand-new service, Together We Can, to recruit qualified Children’s Residential Support workers. This is to provide support to children and young people aged between 11-17 across the city
This role involves working a rota, covering shifts at weekends, days, evenings, sleeping nights and bank holidays and is to start asap.
The pay is £15.82 per hour, with enhancements for evening and weekend working.
This role involves:
Working as part of a specialist team, supporting children, young people and their families who are either on the edge of care, in care or leaving care.
Playing a crucial role in a young person’s life, acting as a key worker and developing meaningful relationships built on compassion, respect and trust.
Providing ongoing support to young people and their families, who are on the edge of care or supporting them back to their family home or supported lodgings.
Offering exceptional care when a young person requires coordinated support, whilst living in a residential setting.
Supporting a young person requiring therapeutic care. To help them access relevant services, providing oversight and pathway co-ordination in and out of health services, in conjunction with multiagency care plans.
You will have:
Experience in supporting young adults with complex health care needs.
Have a driving license and a vehicle for transport.
Be eligible to work in the UK.
Hold an Enhanced Children’s current valid DBS on the update service, or be willing to undertake an online enhanced DBS check
Desirable:
Level 3-4 Children’s and Family practitioner
Level 3-4 certificate in residential childcare
