Are you a passionate and resilient Maths Teacher with experience supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are working with a well-established specialist school in Loughborough that offers a highly supportive and therapeutic learning environment for young people who have experienced significant barriers to mainstream education.
This school is known for its nurturing, student-centred approach and small class sizes, allowing for strong relationships and tailored support. Staff here are part of a close-knit, experienced team committed to transforming lives through education and pastoral care.
The role:
- Deliver high-quality Maths lessons to KS3 and KS4 students with SEMH needs
- Plan and adapt learning to meet individual needs and EHCP targets
- Contribute to the wider school ethos, promoting personal development, resilience, and emotional wellbeing
- Work collaboratively with pastoral teams and support staff to ensure holistic student support
What we're looking for:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Maths in a secondary or SEMH/SEND setting
- A trauma-informed, patient, and consistent approach to behaviour management
- A strong understanding of SEMH needs and the ability to build trusting relationships
