We are looking for an experienced welder to join our team of manufacturers working with the highway industry to manufacture a mixture of small and large items. This role is site based in Llanwern, joining our Distribution UK & Ireland department.



What you will do

As a Production Welder, you'll play a key role in achieving our team objectives by flexibly and safely deploying your skills in a collaborative environment. Your expertise will help ensure our continued business success through continuous improvement.

Your primary objectives will include:

Operating processing machinery and material handling equipment safely and efficiently, maintaining high standards of workmanship to deliver excellent customer service.
Recognizing relevant product ranges to facilitate prompt and accurate material selection and processing.
Utilizing continuous improvement and problem-solving techniques to optimize machine availability.
Handling all materials, including checking stock records, labelling, and storing according to commercial requirements.
Fabricating safety-critical components to ensure they comply with the supplied fabrication drawings.
You'll be responsible for organizing stocks and maintaining appropriate records to ensure optimal productivity and safety. Additionally, you'll share your knowledge of processes and activities with others, ensure compliance with health and safety policies, and recommend improvements to production control procedures to support team performance objectives.



What you will need

To succeed in this role, you'll need to demonstrate flexibility, initiative, drive, and commitment. You should be able to work safely under pressure and meet tight deadlines. To be successful in this role will need at least 5 years experience in fabrication/welding.

Production Welders need to have:

The ability to read and understand fabrication drawings.
Qualifications in MAG 135 fillet and butt weld, following ISO 9606-1 standards.
Experience operating mobile plant equipment onsite
