About the Role – Graduate Academic Mentor

As a Graduate Academic Mentor, you will work closely with teachers and students across a range of core subjects which will be relative to your subject specialism. You will provide targeted academic support, contribute to lesson planning, and help students develop essential critical thinking and communication skills.

Key responsibilities include: - Graduate Academic Mentoer

• Delivering 1:1 and small-group mentoring sessions to support students with coursework, revision, and essay writing.
• Assisting in classroom delivery across Key Stages 3, 4, and A-Level.
• Supporting students in developing academic confidence and subject engagement.
• Tracking progress and helping to tailor intervention strategies.
• Fostering a respectful and intellectually curious learning environment.

Candidate Profile – Graduate Academic Mentor

We’re looking for a motivated graduate who is:

• Educated to degree level (2:1 or above) in Core subjects (e.g. Maths, Science, English and Humanities).
• Passionate about education and eager to make a meaningful impact in a secondary school setting.
• A confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills.
• Able to engage and inspire students from a wide range of backgrounds.
• Adaptable, patient, and committed to supporting student development.
• Previous experience working with young people – such as tutoring, mentoring, or volunteering – is desirable but not essential.
