Job Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in a residential setting.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each child's needs.
- Support children in their educational and social development.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment, ensuring the well-being of all residents.
- Build positive relationships with children, promoting their emotional and social development.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals.
- Document and report on the progress and behaviour of children in care.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience working with children or young people, in a residential setting.
- Relevant qualifications in childcare, social care, or a related field (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare ).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by children in care.
- Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Full UK driving licence is essential.
