Summary

Property Lawyer (Hybrid) needed in Westminster, £170.67 per day PAYE - Reference: RQ1548258

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clear, practical legal advice on property law issues to internal clients and stakeholders.
  • Draft and negotiate legal documents including lease extensions, licences, deeds of variation, and reports on title.
  • Lead or support on legal transactions involving the acquisition and disposal of council property.
  • Advise on property due diligence, asset transfers, SDLT returns, and general property queries.
  • Manage relationships with external legal counsel and barristers, including raising purchase orders.
  • Contribute to legal input in decision-making reports for Cabinet, Members, and senior officers.
  • Monitor legal developments and ensure clients are informed of relevant changes in law and practice.
  • Support the development of junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing and precedent development.

This is a Full time role on a temporary contract basis.
