Summary

Producer Manager in event industry is responsible for planning, organising, and executing live events, shows, concerts, festivals, or other entertainment productions. They serve as the link between creative vision and operational execution.


Key Job Duties:
1. Pre-Production Planning
• Develop event or show concepts with producers and creative teams
• Create production timelines, run-of-show documents, and technical plans
• Secure venues, permits, and necessary licenses
2. Budget and Resource Management
• Prepare and manage budgets for production, staffing, equipment, and logistics
• Track spending and ensure cost control
3. Vendor and Crew Coordination
• Hire and manage event crew (lighting, sound, staging, security, etc.)
• Source and coordinate vendors (catering, décor, equipment rentals)
4. Logistics and Operations
• Schedule rehearsals, deliveries, and installations
• Oversee venue setup, technical rehearsals, and event execution
5. On-Site Supervision
• Lead the production team during event setup, showtime, and teardown
• Resolve last-minute issues under pressure
6. Compliance and Safety
• Ensure health & safety regulations are followed
• Manage risk assessments and emergency plans
7. Post-Event Duties
• Oversee teardown and strike
• Conduct post-event evaluations and reporting

• Event production and technical knowledge (AV, staging, lighting, etc.)

• Budgeting and cost management
• Problem-solving and decision-making under pressure
• Communication and negotiation skills
• Calm demeanor under stress



Preferred Qualifications:
• Degree or diploma in event management, entertainment production, hospitality, or related fields
• 3–5 years of experience in event production or live entertainment
• Knowledge of production software (e.g. Vectorworks, Eventbrite, Airtable)
• First aid or crowd management training (an asset)
