As a Youth & Family Support Worker, you will collaborate closely with families, schools, and community organizations to create a nurturing environment that promotes positive behaviors and life skills. You will engage in outreach efforts, identify individual and family needs, and develop tailored support plans that foster resilience and empowerment. Moreover, your role will involve the facilitation of workshops and programs aimed at equipping youth with essential skills for their future. Responsibilities
Provide individualized support to youth and their families to address a variety of needs.
Conduct assessments to identify strengths and challenges facing youth and families.
Develop, implement, and evaluate personalized support plans in collaboration with families.
Facilitate workshops and group programs aimed at skill-building and personal development.
Serve as an advocate for youth within the community, ensuring their voices are heard.
Work collaboratively with other service providers, including schools and healthcare professionals, to coordinate support services.
Monitor and document progress of youth and families, adjusting support plans as necessary.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Previous experience working with youth and families in a support or counseling capacity.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse populations.
Understanding of child and youth development theories and practices.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills are highly desirable.
Knowledge of community resources and services available to youth and families.
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £19.95
