The role:
We are seeking a Senior Internal Communications and Engagement Officer to support the delivery of communications activity for the implementation and embedding of IT Shared Services.
This is a vital new role within the team, responsible for leading on all internal communications and engagement for IT Shared Services. The postholder will develop and deliver change communications strategies and internal communications plans to support this transformation programme.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support internal communications across business-as-usual (BAU) and IT Shared Services programmes.
Plan, draft, and deliver internal communications content across multiple channels.
Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure effective engagement.
Advise on best practices in internal communications and make strategic recommendations.
Translate complex programme information into clear and engaging messaging.
Support planning and delivery of internal events.
Contribute to the development and implementation of internal communications strategies aligned with change initiatives.
What the client is looking for:
Strong understanding of varied internal audiences and how to tailor messaging effectively.
Demonstrable experience in internal communications.
Ability to communicate complex programme information clearly and concisely.
Experience working in the public sector.
Political awareness and an understanding of working in a politically sensitive environment.
