Summary
THE CONTEXT: The Redeemed Assemblies Canaanland is a UK Registered Religious Charity whose mandate centres on the general well-being of the residents of Waltham Forest, Newham and the neighbourhoods, with no distinction to gender, sexual orientation, race, social, cultural, political, religious, or other opinions and preferences. Working in partnership with the residents, the local authorities, NGOs, voluntary and other organizations, we promote inclusive community capacity building, social cohesion, and better welfare with the intention of improving the living conditions of residents. The Redeemed Assemblies operate viable Community Churches and Community Foodbanks that care for the public and primarily for the unemployed, homeless, destitute, people without Recourse to Public Funds and low-income families. Our motto is fighting food poverty, providing essentials, and reducing food waste.
JOB SUMMARY: We are looking for charity workers to support us with the pick-up and deliveries of essential items, food parcels, groceries from different warehouses, retailers/companies to main site in London.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support drivers to pick up essentials, food parcels, and groceries from different warehouses, retailers/companies, and deliver to the main site.
• Support in sorting out food parcels, groceries, frozen, chilled, bakery and clothing materials for community service users.
• Support in hospital, prison, and community outreaches.
