Summary
At Educato, we are looking for a dedicated and resillient SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and forward thinking team. You will be working within a school in the Tameside area and will be supporting children in Key Stage 2, who face social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) Challenges. You will be providing tailored support, helping children engage positivley with school life.

Key Responsibilities
Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs
Support students in developing emotional regulation, resillience and confidence
Implement and follow individual behaviour plans
Work collaborativley with teachers, the SENDCo, and other pro
De-escalate challenging behaviours using positive behaviour support strategies
Help deliver structured interventions
What We're Looking For
Individuals experienced supporting children with SEMG or behavioural difficulties, ideally in a school or similar setting
Knowledge of strategies to support emotional literacy, trauma informed approached and positive reinforcement
Strong interpersonal skills, patience and a calm consistent manner
Team Teach, MAPA, or similar behaviour management training (desirable but not essential)
A relevant qualification (eg Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant)
An Enhanced DBS on the update service (if you do not have one, we can assist in getting you one)

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS (child and adult workforce), satisfactory references, and full compliance with KCSIE (2024) guidance and safer recruitment standards.
