Summary
Work Pattern
Your contracted hours each week throughout your apprenticeship will be 41 hours Monday - Friday.
Location
This role is based at Ansty Park, Coventry. It is recommended that you live within a commutable distance of this location.
Key Responsibilities
Learn about export controls: Build your knowledge of international export laws.
Support compliance projects: Work closely with the Trade Compliance Team on a variety of projects - from complete aircraft braking systems to individual components — and gain exposure to export-controlled technical information.
Collaborate across departments: Support teams such as Procurement, Logistics, and Engineering to ensure all processes follow trade compliance laws and regulations.
Contribute to process improvements: Help identify and improve ways of working, enabling internal teams to provide excellent service to Parker Meggitt’s customers.
Support risk and compliance monitoring: Take an active role in continuous improvement, helping to track and support the success of compliance programmes and activities.
Gain insight into UK customs: Develop your understanding of how customs procedures and import/export regulations impact the wider business.
Explore wider compliance areas: Work alongside the Trade Compliance Manager and other leaders to understand additional compliance programmes.

Training
Alongside your day role, you will work to complete your apprenticeship with your external training provider, PTP. This will give you the knowledge, training and external approval to do your job effectively.

Qualifications
5 x GCSEs at Grade C/4 or equivalent, including Mathematics and English.
In order to apply, you must:
Not already hold a similar qualification to this programme.
Be at least 16 years old when the apprenticeship begins.
Have the right to work in the UK.
Have been a UK/EU/EAA resident for at least the past three years prior to starting the apprenticeship.
Have completed full-time education before the apprenticeship is due to start.

Strong reasoning skills with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively as part of a small team, as well as independently on individual projects.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and efficiently.
Confident in collating information, understanding data, and contributing ideas and innovation.
Competent in using I.T. applications such as Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn new platforms.
Well-organised with the ability to adapt quickly and improvise in a dynamic working environment.

What does the future look like?
Upon successful completion of the programme — and subject to performance — you may have the opportunity to move into a permanent role within the team or business area where you completed your apprenticeship.
