Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

An extremely rare and exciting opportunity has arisen at St Wilfrid’s to join our team as a Teacher of R.E. This is a permanent full-time post.

We are seeking a colleague who can plan and deliver high-quality learning experiences for students and assess them accurately so that teaching is responsive and meets the needs of students.

As a member of our large Core Subject R.E. team, you will be supported and challenged, so that as well as contributing to students’ success and that of the School, you are personally developed in your career.

What the school offers its staff

The RE Team is made up of 9 dedicated colleagues, with a range of experience. Students study the Eduqas Religious Education GCSE course and the Eduqas Religious Studies A Level qualification at Post-16.

St Wilfrid’s Catholic High School & Sixth-Form College is a mixed voluntary Academy for 11-18 year olds, based in North Featherstone in West Yorkshire. There are currently 1,534 students in attendance. The school opened in 1963 and has a proud history. We were inspected by Ofsted in November 2021 and received a Good judgement; we were also judged as Good by the Diocesan Section 48 Inspection in April 2024, with 7 out of the 9 areas as Outstanding.

We are proudly part of the Bishop Konstant Catholic Academy Trust which comprises of three Secondary Schools and twelve Primary Schools.
