Are you experienced in mentoring and training a team?
Are you currently a Senior Carer or Support Worker looking to take the next step?
New Direction Support is looking to recruit Team Leaders/Practice Champions looking for a new challenge?
As a Team Leader/Practice Champion you will support the Management Team on the ground and play an important part in the care structure by mentoring Support Workers with a sole focus on delivering care that meets the specific needs of the individual. You will be part of a team who have achieved GOLD accreditation from Investors in People.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
· Support People with a variety of learning disabilities, autism, mental health and behaviours of concern
. Ensuring there is a positive work culture based on PBS practices
· Meeting service user needs & wants
. Promoting quality of sleep (QoS) & quality of life (QoL)
· Coaching staff (modelling & feedback)
· Reviewing staff practices
. On Call responsibilities

· Determined and Motivated
· Have excellent communication skills
· Focused on empowering and developing people
· Able to organise and prioritise effectively
. Ability to follow and promote policies and procedures
ESSENTIAL
· 2 years’ experience in a care setting in the UK
. willing to develop own skills in a form of a qualification
. full valid UK driving licence and a car for working purposes/transport
. this role comes with some OnCall responsibilities. This could mean day or night. Do you have the flexibility for this?
