About the team
We have a number of vacancies open for an Administrator across various teams in the Research and External Engagement service, we have provided a brief description of the relevant teams below.

The Research Excellence and Environment team supports UWE academics to develop and thrive within an embedded and sustainable culture; one that is underpinned by the principles of collaboration, integrity and responsible governance. Comprised of three complimentary areas; Integrity, Ethics and Governance; Environment, Culture and Development, and Research Excellence the team delivers on major sector wide initiatives, such as the Research Excellence Framework (REF).

The Research Office provides seamless, end to end support for all external tender, bid and grant applications. The Office is made up of individuals with expertise in costing bids, funders, ethics, contracts and compliance processes (such as Due Diligence). Together they support applicants, and if required draw on the appropriate skills and expertise from across the university to submit eligible and compliant successful grant applications. Once awarded the team supports the
PI/Lead through the project set up process; following timely, appropriate financial and compliance protocols to ensure a smooth transition from a grant application into a live project

About the role
These administrator roles will be crucial in the Research and External Engagement team to undertake activities to support research functions at the university. Key responsibilities may include maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, managing shared inboxes, organising and facilitating events, securing essential signatures for key application documents, and performing data cleansing to uphold data integrity.

This post is based at our lively Frenchay campus where we have invested in the latest facilities and resources to give both our staff and students access to everything they need to succeed.

This is a full-time, permanent post post, working 37 hours per week.
