Summary
The DSC Manager is to be an experienced leader who will support the Technical Authority Head in the provision of technical coherence across the Defence Enterprise and manage the DSC as the Centre of Excellence for Defence M&S.
In addition, the DSC Manager is responsible for:
Managing the DSC and programme of activity in accordance with DMSO Hd prioritisation and taskings for the benefit of wider Defence and OGDs.
Managing Corporate M&S Knowledge.
Promoting the sharing and reuse of M&S specific resources and reference material.
Overseeing the provision of the Front Door function.
Core functions to include (but not limited to):
Enabling provision of M&S technical Advice & Assistance;
Knowledge and information management;
Oversight of the provision of the DSC Catalogue (DSCC) and Synthetic Environment (SE) Service (SES) services when delivered including oversight of the Verification & Validation function.
Other Responsibilities to include (but not limited to):
Establishing the DSC's governance arrangements and ensuring appropriate assurance is in place;
Maintaining alignment of the DSC with Defence M&S’s strategic direction;
Ensuring the effectiveness and performance of the DSC organisation;
Line Management Responsibilities; and
Business Management function (procurement, financial, commercial).
