We are seeking a CSW - Senior Social Worker/Specialist Social Worker for our Referral & Assessment team (BR1). In this critical role, you will play an essential part in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children by conducting thorough assessments and providing appropriate recommendations and interventions. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including health services, schools, and community organizations, to support families in need and facilitate access to essential resources. This position requires strong analytical and interpersonal skills, as you will be tasked with identifying risk factors, developing action plans, and advocating for children’s best interests. Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families referred to the service.
Identify risks and protective factors, making informed recommendations based on findings.
Develop and implement action plans tailored to the needs of children and families.
Collaborate with various stakeholders, including schools, healthcare providers, and community organizations.
Provide expert advice and guidance to junior social workers and support staff.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
Participate in training and development initiatives to enhance professional skills and knowledge.
Requirements
A recognized social work qualification, such as a degree in social work or equivalent.
Registration with a relevant professional body, such as Social Work England.
Substantial experience in child protection and assessment within a social work context.
Strong understanding of relevant legislation and statutory guidance concerning child welfare.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and professionals.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development and reflective practice.
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £27.82
