Site supervisor needed on civils project
The Role:
As a Working Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
- Directly overseeing and actively participating in civils remediation works.
- Managing and coordinating site operatives and sub-contractors.
- Ensuring strict adherence to health and safety regulations and company procedures.
- Implementing and monitoring quality control on all aspects of the works.
- Managing plant, materials, and resources effectively.
- Conducting site inductions, toolbox talks, and daily briefings.
- Maintaining accurate site records, diaries, and progress reports.
- Problem-solving and proactively addressing any site issues.
- Liaising effectively with the Project Manager, clients, and other stakeholders.
About You:
- Proven experience as a Working Supervisor on civils remediation projects is essential.
- Strong understanding of groundworks, earthworks, drainage, and related civils activities.
- Valid SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
- Relevant CSCS card.
- First Aid at Work certification (desirable).
- Excellent knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive, problem-solving attitude with a keen eye for detail.
