Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented research programme manager to manage the establishment and delivery of flagship research and educations centres and facilities within Barts Health NHS Trust and across North East London where applicable.
We are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills and experience in working across large multidisciplinary team, implementing and managing projects and clinical research management and delivery to speed up health and care transformation by connecting research to frontline care.
We are happy to explore opportunities for secondments and other flexible working arrangements, though the role holder will need to regularly attend research sites across North East London as well as some national meetings.
The Research Programme Manager will:
• Oversee all aspects of establishment and delivery of the National Institute for Health and Care Research North East London Commercial Research Delivery Centre, Academic Centre for Healthy Ageing, NIHR Clinical Research Facility and processes for delivering these initiatives and their vision, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
• Be the key driver in mapping out approval pathways in conjunction with R&D and support departments across the partner organisations to bring alignment in research operations across North East London.
1. Main duties of the job
· Work closely with centre and facility partner organisations and teams to establish models of clinical research set up and delivery including details of site processes, support departments, research interests and capabilities and education and training needs.
· Develop Standard Operating Procedures and guidance documents centre and facilities operations.
· Ensure project governance plans and structures is in place.
· Perform risk management to minimise project risks.
· Develop a detailed project plan to monitor, track and illustrate progress of the establishment and operations of centres and facilities against time bound target dates.
· Set deadlines and assign responsibilities within the teams.
· Report and escalate risk and issues
· Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation including (but not exclusive to) governance and quality documentation.
· Establish and maintain relationships with all stakeholders both internal and external andform a management and communication link in respect of centres between Divisions, Group Clinical Services and Research Senior Management and training leads.
