Physics Graduate Teaching Assistant: Person Specification

• Physics Graduate Teaching Assistant – Ideal candidate will have achieved 2:1 or higher in Physics-related degree or achieved a strong Physics A Level (A or higher) alongside a different degree

• Some experience working with young people in some capacity is desirable but not essential

• Must have a proactive mindset and genuine enthusiasm for learning with a strong desire to develop professionally
• The ideal Physics Graduate Teaching Assistant for this post will hold a genuine interest in establishing a long-term career in the education sector

Physics Graduate Teaching Assistant: Role Specification

As a Physics Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide both 1-1 and small group intervention sessions to learners across KS3, 4 & 5

• Build meaningful relationships with students that will positively influence their school experience

• Be present in lessons to aid learning outcomes set by the teacher

• Enjoy the opportunity to plan your own tutoring sessions aimed at deepening understandings with a range of learners

• Weekly training opportunities showing you the proper educational practice and strengthening your skillset

• This Physics Graduate Teaching Assistant role is full-time. You will follow the school week, working Monday-Friday; 8:30am to 4:00pm daily during term-time.
