Leaving Care
Are you passionate about supporting young people as they transition to independent living? We are seeking a dedicated Leaving Care Personal Advisor to provide guidance, practical support, and advocacy to care-experienced individuals aged 18 and over.
Location: Wakefield
Hours: 37 per week
Job Type: Temp
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of young people leaving care
- Support and review individual Pathway Plans and Risk Assessments
- Assist with housing, budgeting, benefits, and life skills
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies and support services
- Provide consistent emotional and practical support, especially during crises
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification
- Experience working with vulnerable young people
- Knowledge of safeguarding practices and relevant legislation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Driving licence preferred due to the mobile nature of the role
