Summary

The post holder will be responsible for managing a broad range of operational activities, including the oversight of motorcycle instructor standards checks, training site inspections, compliance and enforcement activities, and quality assurance processes. These duties will be carried out both at DVSA-operated sites and at third-party premises. A key aspect of the role involves ensuring that regular quality control activities are effectively planned, executed, and monitored across the network.

The role requires the management of a geographically dispersed team operating across a wide national footprint. The successful candidate will be expected to role model a culture of engagement, inclusion, and professionalism, ensuring their team is motivated, supported, and developed to reach its full potential.

They will be accountable for delivering high-quality, efficient, and customer-focused services that align with the agency’s business objectives and performance standards. This includes identifying and driving opportunities for improved value for money and consistency of service delivery.

In addition, the post holder will lead and embed change initiatives within their team, ensuring alignment with DVSA priorities. They will be responsible for handling customer and stakeholder concerns appropriately, ensuring these are addressed in line with the agency’s expectations and standards.
