Summary
Job Summary1. Provide specialist clinical pharmacy technician advice to the Ophthalmology service at UHS General Duties1. Providing medicines management service to the eye short stay unit. 2. Proactively support stock management within departments in the eye unit, communicating with staff regarding difficulties in supplying medicines and, if appropriate offering alternatives solutions to ensure appropriate patient care is always maintained. 3. To review patients who are admitted to UHS or in a clinic setting to ensure patients know how tomanage their condition(s)/ disease and medicines. Undertaking shared decision-makingdiscussions and adherence assessments and providing advice where needed to patient or MDT 4. Responsible for supporting service improvement, conducting audits, evaluation, anddevelopment. Actively identifies areas of service improvement. Proactivity contributes to serviceTrust Values You need to be a registered Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC Have an accreditation in: Medicines Management or Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) Have an accreditation in or evidence of training in: Patient counselling This is a full-time post 37.5hrs per week There is a weekend working commitment of 1 in 6 to support patient care, either working at ward level or in the dispensary.
