A warm and inclusive primary school in Birmingham is looking for a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. This role involves supporting a pupil with autism and ADHD, helping them access learning and manage daily routines.
If you're experienced in SEN, this is a brilliant opportunity to step into a rewarding and stable role within a welcoming school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide consistent 1:1 support to a pupil with ASD and ADHD
- Work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to implement EHCP targets
- Use structured routines and strategies to support learning and behaviour
- Encourage emotional regulation and positive interactions
- Monitor progress and adapt support as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting pupils with ASD and ADHD
- A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or higher)
- Confident supporting behaviour needs in a primary setting
- Empathetic, patient, and committed to long-term work
- Available full-time and able to attend a trial day
