Quokka Education is proud to be supporting an Outstanding day and residential special school for boys aged 10-16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, including ADHD, Autism, and challenging behaviour.
We're looking for a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team, starting September 2025 on a full-time, term-time basis.
About the Role:
- Work closely with teachers to support pupils' learning and emotional development
- Provide 1:1 or small group support to help meet individual needs
- Encourage the development of self-esteem, resilience, and independence
- Help deliver creative, engaging lessons in a structured and nurturing environment
- Monitor and record progress, working collaboratively with teaching and pastoral staff
Who We're Looking For:
- Energetic and empathetic individuals passionate about supporting young people with additional needs
- Experience in education, youth work, psychology, social care, or sports coaching is a bonus
- Calm, patient, and able to build strong relationships
- Adaptable to different pupil needs and responsive in challenging situations
- Professional, reliable, and committed to safeguarding
- A team player with a good sense of humour and resilience

Role Details:
- Location: Eastleigh
- Start Date: September 2025
- Contract Type: Temp-to-Perm (12 weeks)
- Hours: 8:40am - 3:10pm, Monday to Friday (Term time only)
- Actual Salary: Approx. £17,400 - £18,000 (Term Time Only)
