Personal Care Assistant Role
DP/JG7
Hours of work: 5 HOURS PER WEEK, to be worked during Saturdays and Sundays
The exact working hours would be discussed at interview stage, with the prospective employer.
Location: FAIRFIELD AND HOWLEY AREA OF WARRINGTON, CHESHIRE
Rate of pay: £12.60 PER HOUR
Personal Assistant is required to provide personal and practical assistance, to enable a male child who has non-verbal autism, and to support him to access social and leisure activities within the community. It would be preferred, but not essential, for applicants to have experience of working with children and young people who have autism.
MAIN DUTIES:
· Support to learn independent living skills
· Escorting to events and outings
· Support during social and leisure activities (e.g. outdoor parks and soft-play areas)
· Support with personal care tasks (e.g. dressing, undressing, assistance when going to toilet)
CAR OWNER/DRIVER PREFERRED, BUT NOT ESSENTIAL. If applicants for this role are able to drive, they would be required to use their own vehicle as part of their employment, so would need to ensure that their insurance provider covers them for business purposes.
Further information:
A probationary period will be included for the successful applicant.
The successful applicant would be required to complete an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
