I am a lady in my fifties, and I enjoy going on shopping trips, meeting friends, craft work, going to the gym and
gardening. I am looking for a PA to join my team of existing PA's.
The role will include food preparation and cleaning, along with hoisting, stoma care and supporting me to manage
to type 1 diabetes, for which full training will be given. I am a wheelchair user.
The hours are for 16 per week, on a Monday and Friday, however, there can be some flexibility with this,
depending on what is happening on a particular day.
Duties include:
Medication prompting/administering
Personal grooming
Moving and handling
Clinical tasks
Other relevant duties as required
Administration
Housekeeping
Shopping
Cooking
Transportation
Companionship
Looking after pets
Gardening
Dressing / undressing
Bathroom assistance
Candidate qualities:
Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality
Reliable with good timekeeping
Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
Hygienic, tidy and well organised
Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
Honest and cheerful
Creative
Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
Must be comfortable with pets
Able to always work to high standards of health & safety
Additional requirements
Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours
