As a Junior Sister/Charge Nurse on Sunrise B Ward, you will have a delegated responsibility for managing the clinical areas within the unit. This includes overseeing the 26-bedded inpatient ward, the Gynaecology Emergency Department, and the Early Pregnancy Unit. You will be responsible for ensuring the care needs of our patients and their families are met, overseeing operational flow within the unit, and leading by example to maintain high standards of care during each shift.
In this role, you will work closely with the Ward Manager, Matron, Specialist Nurses, Lead Consultant, medical/surgical teams, and the wider Multidisciplinary Team (MDT). You will also provide line management to the junior nursing staff and ward clerks, offering clinical leadership, management support, and guidance to foster a positive and efficient team environment.
This position requires a high degree of personal professional autonomy and a strong understanding of local policies and guidelines. You will actively lead and contribute to ongoing improvement projects, supporting the development of staff through regular appraisals and providing guidance to ensure continuous professional growth.

These CDCs are open 12 hours a day, 7 days a week and are providing an extra 88,000 scans a year.
