Summary

Sherbourne Fields is a Special School for 262 pupils aged between

5 – 19 years. We are an ‘Outstanding School’ and as such we are passionate about providing and maintaining a thoroughly clean environment for our school community.

What is the job role?

With the latest school building extension scheduled to open September 2025, we are looking to recruit an additional day time cleaner to join our dedicated cleaning team.

As a member of our cleaning team you will be a hardworking, reliable, flexible, enthusiastic, and highly motivated individual – taking great pride in your work and your contribution across our school.

Who are we looking for?

Working predominantly on your own, you will be allocated an area within our school specific to you. Therefore, it is vital that the successful candidate can demonstrate the ability to prioritise their workload, whilst also considering the activities taking place across school which may impact their daily cleaning schedule.

Previous experience of commercial cleaning is desirable. However, more importantly, if you meet the criteria above then we would love to hear from you.

If you wish to apply you must complete an application form. This can be downloaded along with the Job Description and Person Specification from the school from the school website http://www.sherbournefields.co.uk.

Please note: Previous applicants need not apply.

Please return your completed application form to: recruitment@sherbournefields.coventry.sch.uk

Closing date: 13th June 2025

Interview date: Tbc

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced criminal record check via the DBS.

Following recommendations from Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) for an additional pre employment check with effect 1 Sept 22, please note, an online search may form part of this recruitment process.
