Summary
At Gooseberry Bush our team of childcare professionals work hard to
provide all children with the opportunity to develop their skills and
knowledge during their time with us. We are now looking for a Level 3 Apprentice to come and join our team.
Duties will include;
Planning and organising a range of stimulating activities
Supervising and observing children from 0 to 5 years old
Supporting children to develop their independence and social skills
Motivating the children and inspiring them to experience the awe and wonder of the world they live in…
Teaching children to develop positive relationships with other children and adults
Meeting care needs of children, e.g. changing nappies, feeding and interactions.
Making sure the environment is clean and tidy and creating a stimulating learning environmentFor you -

Once you’ve completed your probationary period, we will provide enrolment in Paycare's Level 1 Health Cash Plan.
On completion of your Level 3 your will receive an increase to £13ph plus a one-off bonus of £300 (bonus is repayable if you leave your employment with us within 1 year).
Furthermore, you will receive a £250 bonus on the first anniversary of your qualification. Again, this is repayable if you leave within a year.

Training
Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Gooseberry Bush will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
• Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator
• Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
• Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
This will be delivered through Gooseberry Bush ‘s dedicated training provider, Realise.
Qualifications required
GCSE Maths/English or equivalent, or willingness to work towards the required level of functional skills alongside the apprenticeship.
Option for skills Bootcamp course to start accelerated apprenticeship at level 3 for the right candidate.
Skills required
Some knowledge of child development for children from birth to five years.
Some knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Good communication skills.
Commitment to working effectively with young children and families
