This is an exciting opportunity to join our expanding Economic Development Team in a newly created role funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

We are recruiting for an experienced Economic Development Officer to support the Council with its continuing economic development and growth agenda, delivering key economic development priorities for the Borough that will have a significant impact on both place and quality of life.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in an economic development role, will be highly motivated and able to work on their own initiative. We are looking for someone who will be able to provide support on the development and delivery of strategy plans and interventions to achieve the Council’s priorities for growth and development. This will involve contributing to the development and delivery of the sub-regional economic development strategy and plans.

You will have knowledge and experience of the inward investment process and detailed knowledge of sources of finance and investment to deliver economic development initiatives. Experience of collaborative working within multi-disciplinary teams, with external partners and stakeholders including businesses is essential.
