Summary
As an Apprentice at Little Face Chidlcare, you get to play an important role in shaping these little’s people foundation of life.
More people are developing a desire to do something more meaningful in life – working for a family run nursery and training in Early Years can be exactly what you are looking for right now!
You will;
•Operate a programme of activities that meet the individual needs and interests of children in your area in conjunction with other team members
•Keep records of your children’s development and learning journeys and share these with parents, carers and other key adults in the child’s life
•Support all staff and engage in maintaining a good staff team
•Liaise with and support parents and other family members
•Be involved in out of working hours activities, e.g. training, monthly staff meetings, parents evening, fundraising events etc.
•Be flexible within working practices of the nursery. Be prepared to help where needed, including to undertake certain domestic jobs within the settings.

Training
Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Little Faces Childcare will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator
Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)This will be delivered through Little Faces Childcare dedicated training provider, Realise.
Realise is an established training provider that’s enjoying an exciting period of growth following a management buyout and rebrand in late 2020.
Qualifications required
GCSE Maths/English or equivalent, or willingness to work towards the required level of functional skills alongside the apprenticeship.
Experience preferred but not essential
Option for skills Bootcamp course to start accelerated apprenticeship at level 3 for the right candidate.
