History Graduate Teaching Assistant - What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting pupils in History lessons and potentially other Humanities subjects
• Assisting in the planning and delivery of engaging, informative lessons
• Working with students 1:1 or in small groups to reinforce learning
• Promoting critical thinking, historical awareness, and curiosity
• Helping manage classroom behaviour and maintaining a productive environment
• Collaborating with teachers and support staff to maximise student progress
• Participating in school events, enrichment activities, and extracurricular clubs
• Building confidence and aspiration in students through consistent support

History Graduate Teaching Assistant - What We’re Looking For

• A 2:1 degree or above in History or a related Humanities subject
• A strong interest in education and supporting young people
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach
• Confidence working with secondary-aged students (experience a bonus, not essential)
• A genuine ambition to pursue a career in teaching, youth work, or academic support
