As a Community Programmes Manager what does the role entail:

YMCA Fylde Coast is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Community Programmes Manager to lead our impactful youth and community work. You’ll manage our Early Help & Wellbeing and Moving Forwards projects, develop local partnerships, and oversee the Lofthouse community building. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape our community offer—ensuring it remains relevant, responsive, and transformational for young people across Fylde and Wyre.

Your day will consist of …

• To ensure the high-quality delivery of the current trust and grant funded community programmes.
• To manage the staff team associated with the portfolio of trust and grant funded community programmes.
• To develop established youth and community partnerships in Wyre and to identify and develop new relationships to grow our impact.
• To proactively engage with other organisations (in Fleetwood initially) to continue to understand the needs of the community and young people
• To proactively seek new business to both generate revenue and increase impact
• To contribute to the development and delivery of agreed annual objectives for the Community and Youth Directorate.
• To ensure the effective management of the Lofthouse Building, including responsibility for the management of the budget associated with the building
• To manage the leases and tenants at Lofthouse
• To carry forward any other activity associated with the development of the Community and Youth Directorate

This job is for you, if…

• You are educated to a minimum education standard at degree level, or a professional qualification in youth work or related discipline, or demonstrable experience equivalent to formal training.
• You have experience in delivering community and/or youth work interventions.
• You have good communication skills both written and verbal.
• You have a calm personable nature and find appropriate resolutions when handling conflict.
• You are a resilient and confident team worker who can work on their own initiative or work as part of a team.
• You are a friendly, enthusiastic, hardworking individual.
• You enjoy working as part of a small staff team.
• You understand the need for confidentiality with a professional and caring approach to work.
