A bit about me:
My name is I, I am a 19 year old female with lots of energy and a quirky sense of humour! I live at home with my mum. At the moment I attend Fairfield Farm College Monday to Friday during term time but will be graduating in the summer. I am looking for someone to help me become more independent, especially when I’m out and about, by supporting me but more importantly, by becoming a friend and companion. Amongst other activities I really enjoy swimming, walking (whatever the weather), going to the cinema, listening to music and singing. However, once I have left college I would like to try new activities as I’m sure that there are lots of other things that I would enjoy and learn from.

About the role:
I have Autism so I can sometimes find day to day life a little challenging and new and different situations can be a little confusing. I also have epilepsy but this certainly doesn’t impact on my day to day life in any way – most people don’t even know and it doesn’t stop me doing anything! Having my own PA who enjoys spending time with me, supporting and guiding me when needed, will really help me to overcome any difficulties I might have. In particular, I would really like someone who will help me develop some simple life-skills:
• Teach me how to cook simple things so that I don’t always have to rely on mum for my lunch! Help me to make healthy choices with my meals and snacks and shop for the ingredients Help me to manage my pocket money if we go out, I love spending but don’t always make the right choices!
Above all though, I am looking for someone who I can have fun and laugh with, who I can learn from and who will encourage me to broaden my horizons once I leave college.

The kind of person I am looking for:
Friendly and approachable. Responsible, reliable and trustworthy. Good communication and social skills. To respect confidentiality and be sensitive to my needs. To understand that dignity and independence are important. Be willing to learn and able to work on your own initiative.
