Summary
Assembly Operator
Location: Middlewich
Hours: Monday to Friday 07:00am - 16:30pm
Pay: £12.21 per hour
KPI Recruiting are looking for an Assembly Operative to join our client’s team working in Middlewich. This is a great opportunity for someone looking tocarry out the assembly of components on a production line, ensuring products are manufactured to the required quality standards and production targets are met while maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assemble components or finished products according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
• Inspect parts and finished assemblies for quality and accuracy, reporting any defects or discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Follow all health and safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE and tools, to ensure a safe working environment.
• Meet daily or hourly production targets; report any downtime, delays, or equipment issues promptly.
• Pick and manage components from bins, monitor stock levels, and report shortages as needed
• Operate a range of hand tools, pneumatic and electric tools, and barcode scanning equipment as required.
• Work as part of a production team, supporting colleagues and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized workstation in line with 5S and housekeeping standards.
Ideal Candidate:
• Ability to handle small components and tools with precision and care.
• Ensure accuracy in measurements, part alignment, and overall product quality.
• Follow technical instructions, procedures, and health & safety regulations accurately.
• Capable of standing for long periods, lifting light components, and performing repetitive tasks.
• Work effectively with team members and communicate any production or safety issues promptly.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment (Desirable)
