Who are we looking for?
Due to continued growth, the college is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed member of staff, who has experience in direct sales within the FE sector. The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of apprenticeships and be able to identify and engage new and existing employers for the delivery of training services.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· To identify and engage new employers and conduct business training needs analysis
• To ensure employers are fully supported with their training needs and maximise sales of all college products and services
• Work closely with the curriculum teams to ensure the curriculum offer is in line with the local labour market
• To account manage employer relationships and support employers with the Apprenticeship Levy and any future changes to funding, ensuring securement of repeat business
• To provide administrative support for apprentice recruitment and apprenticeship delivery to ensure all aspects of course delivery and employer engagement are well organised and administered effectively.
• Process data and information to ensure that apprentice records, documentation and other correspondence are accurate, complete and made available promptly
Essential skills, Knowledge and Experience
• English and mathematics qualifications at level 2 or above.
• Business development and or sales experience preferably within an educational context.
• Ability to cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Ability to quickly gain knowledge and understanding of the Further Education and Skills sector and the related funding and regulatory frameworks.
• Knowledge of rules and evidence requirements for ESFA contracts related to apprenticeships.
• Experience of working with Further Education Student Record Systems and ability to quickly gain an understanding of data entry specification that complies with regulatory frameworks.
• Experience of reviewing data and documentation against expected and contract requirements.
• An understanding of awarding body registration procedures, to carry out registrations on behalf of assessors/teachers
• Experience of contributing to external and internal audits and inspections.
• Experience of implementing standardised approaches/systems and audit compliance.
• Experience of preparing reports for managers, regulators, and funders.
• Good organisation and planning skills and able to deal with conflicting priorities.
• Good IT skills in standard packages, especially Office 365 and Excel.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of apprenticeships with the ability to work with a variety of external organisations.
