What are we looking for?


To provide high quality, accurate impartial information, support and advice to parents / carers living in Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire with children and young people with SEN and Disabilities (SEND) (with or without an EHC Plan) and/or to the young people themselves aged 16-25.

The service will support parent/carers and young people to make informed decisions and resolve disagreements about their child’s/young person’s needs in terms of education, social care and health issues. Support can be regarding educational provision, entitlement and support arrangements for children and young people with SEND, from 0-25 years old

You will be required to work closely with education providers and the Local Authority, to try to resolve disputes positively through support, negotiation and mediation and to promote the service to partner agencies including parent/carer forums. Support is time limited, task oriented and based on individual need.
